• Set up the Lodge Shimshon barbecue booth.
• Assist with getting the cooking operation ready.
• Begin cooking the meat on the Weber grills.

•  Begin monitoring the temperatures of the meat on the Weber grills at approximately midnight.
• Continue monitoring into the early morning hours.
• Help ensure that the cooking process continues properly through the night.

• The 11:00 a.m. volunteer assignment will continue through the food preparation, competition turn-ins to the judges, and the initial serving of the public.
• Prepare the food presentations for the judges.
• Prepare the competition entries for turn-in.
• Deliver the food to the judges at the designated turn-in times.
• Get food ready to serve to the public.
• Assist with the initial serving of the public.

Public food service: Approximately 12:00 noon
First competition turn-in: 12:25 p.m.

• The awards ceremony is expected to begin at approximately 2:30 p.m. and last about an hour.
• No volunteer activity will be taking place at our booth during this time.
• This information is included simply so volunteers understand that the barbecue team will not be working at the booth during the awards ceremony.

• Break down the Lodge Shimshon barbecue booth.
• Clean up the cooking and serving areas.
• Pack up equipment and supplies.
• Leave the site clean and ready for turnover.
