Empowering Emerging Leaders: American Jewish Committee’s Young Leadership Programs

Speaker: Camellia Heart-Katz, MSW

Details and Bio:

Camellia is the Alexander Assistant Director, Young Leadership at American Jewish Committee Atlanta. She oversees AJC’s Atlanta Leaders for Tomorrow program for high school sophomores and juniors as well as AJC’s Atlanta young professionals board, ACCESS. She began her career in social work in Philadelphia, spending three years as a substance use counselor at a methadone clinic and a stint in inpatient social work in the NICU. After the October 7 attacks, Camellia transitioned to the Jewish professional world at AJC and moved to Atlanta with her husband and dog. Camellia earned a Masters of Social Work from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science in International Affairs from the University of Georgia.
