Brothers,
Our Yellow Candle program for Yom HaShoah, Holocaust Remembrance, continues to grow.
We have received our order of Yellow Candles and Bags, approximately 1100.
Like last year, we will have two handouts in the Yellow Bag with the Candle; ore regarding the Holocaust and one regarding HOD.
The former has been updated to address antisemitism before and leading up to the Holocaust as well as afterwards.
Yom HaShoah is April 23-24, 2005, after Passover.
With more recipients this year and the larger number of Candles involved, we need to get everything packaged and handed out to Brothers for their timely delivery to the various recipients.
We are scheduling Sunday, March 2, 12 pm at Beth Shalom Social Hall for this activity.
Last year, also with a significant number of Yellow Candles, we had a very good turnout of volunteers which significantly expedited our efforts as well as providing enjoyable social time among Brothers.
We look forward to another good turnout on March 2 and a fun/productive time on March 2.
For those interested, we will go out for a bite afterwards at a local restaurant.
Please RSVP ASAP.
