The Hebrew Order of David is partnering with Zichron Menachem to fund the construction of a Hair Salon at the Zichron Menachem campus in Jerusalem.

HOD Lodges from around the world are supporting this needed and valuable project.

After diagnosis, one of the first questions children ask is how soon they will lose their hair. Girls and boys of all ages are often more concerned about how their treatment will impact their looks, rather than the health implications. When they feel confident about how they look on the outside, it lifts their spirits and strengthens their will to fight their illness.

Thanks to the many hundreds of hair donations that Zichron Menachem receives from supporters around the world, they provide young people with custom made wigs, along with payot for the religious boys. In the last year alone, they created over 500 custom-made wigs for children and young adults. They style and color the wigs, to create a look as close as possible to their existing hair style.

Sponsoring the building means that your gift will continue benefiting the children and families Zichron Menachem serves for many years to come. The plan for the future includes the provision of hair and beauty instruction to young adults and students from overseas who are currently studying in Israel. These lessons will give them an opportunity to learn a concrete skill, as well as a chance to volunteer their time with the young people at the Day Centre.
